DIY: Denim + Denim

There is nothing like the thought of throwing away one of the most coveted items in your closet... you know, that fave pair of denim that just bit the dust.  That being said, I couldn't let them go that easily which prompted me to have a little DIY kind of night and turned my fave denim into a denim on denim turban headband.

What you'll need:

1.  Any old pair of denim will work

2.  Next, you'll simply cut one of the leg pieces long enough to measure around your head  (I ended up cutting the denim right about the knee)

3.  Then sew one end, slightly scrunching together to create small pleats

4.  Next, twist the denim piece around and sew the end just like you did in step 2

5. You'll then want to sew these two ends together (This is when you'll want to make sure that it fits comfortably around your head)

6.  Lastly, to cover where the two ends meet, I sewed together a denim piece and turned it inside out to give it that dark denim +light denim vibe, but you can use any type of fabric, whether it be a print or even a piece of leather
