My love for denim is probably like someone's love for their new puppy dog (Listen, I love puppies, but denim is definitely right up there with them).  I'm not sure if it beats my obsession with leather but it's pretty damn close. Let's put it this way, if I could denim my walls, I think I would...

I found this vintage piece at (check them out!) and of course purchased it immediately. Not only is it a longer piece which is needed for these blizzard like months approaching, but the fact that it has a hood was when it was game over for me.  Pair something like this with your fave pair of denim or leather or better yet, throw it over that little black dress of yours for a more laid back, day time look.

Sriracha me crazy!

Why the hell is this stuff so delicious?! I've recently found out that you can just about put this stuff on any and everything and it's ALL delicious. Okay okay, maybe not milk + cereal but I'm sure someone out there has done that and thinks it's great.

Lately I've been on this hummus kick and thanks to my pal JZ (no, not the rapper), she has gotten me addicted to how amazing Sriracha is on plain hummus.  That being said, I was able to create a Sriracha hummus recipe that's to die for and just too damn easy to make.

1 15 oz. can of rinsed chickpeas
2-3 cloves of garlic
1/3 cup of Tahini
1/4 cup of water
1/2 cup of Sriracha Hot Sauce (less if you don't want it as spicy)
1 teaspoon of lemon juice (optional)
Pinch of salt and fresh ground black pepper

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor until well mixed.

Toast up some of your favorite pita bread along with some chopped veggies and you have yourself a tasty little treat.

It's almost here...Isabel Marant for H&M

It's almost time! November 14th is when Isabel Marant for H&M will hit stores across the U.S and I can't wait!  The line has Marant written all of it and who is not too swoon over this collection.  Another perk, it's now a little more affordable to get your hands on.

Lost love with Active Child

There's nothing better when you hear a new album especially coming from Pat Grossi with that magical harp of his and the music seems to settle in perfectly with everything going on around you at that moment in time. An added bonus... Ellie Goulding and Mikky Ekko make appearances on this EP.

Benji Taylor from says it best, "Rapor is an absorbing and accomplished 80's sheened syth-pop EP infused with heartache and imagination." I found myself anxiously waiting for this to come out to see if it could compare to his last album, You Are All I See, and I can say that it has hit the spot and was exactly what I needed.

Take a listen for yourself...

The one and only Ace.

Probably my most favorite hotel in the world finally opened its doors in the eclectic neighborhood in London, known as Shoreditch.  I first showed my face at the Ace when I was in NYC over the summer for Governor's Ball Music Festival.  I had fallen in love immediately.  It could have been all of those shaggy, good looking hipster boys that were lounging as I entered the lobby or those delicious cocktails infused with fresh lavender, but whatever it was, I knew everything was going to be alright.

Tucked away near some of the best vintage shopping to be had,  fresh tunes coming from the DJ sets in the lobby to turntables with a collection of vintage records in your room, this is the place to be.  Not only do they have the coziest robes in the city but to put it simply, you just feel at home, a very hip and cool home.  Be sure to be here next time you're in London.

These are probably the most comfortable kicks I've slipped on in awhile.  These babes won't be leaving my feet anytime soon and the perfect crossover into fall.

DIY: Denim + Denim

There is nothing like the thought of throwing away one of the most coveted items in your closet... you know, that fave pair of denim that just bit the dust.  That being said, I couldn't let them go that easily which prompted me to have a little DIY kind of night and turned my fave denim into a denim on denim turban headband.

What you'll need:
1.  Any old pair of denim will work

2.  Next, you'll simply cut one of the leg pieces long enough to measure around your head  (I ended up cutting the denim right about the knee)
3.  Then sew one end, slightly scrunching together to create small pleats
4.  Next, twist the denim piece around and sew the end just like you did in step 2
5. You'll then want to sew these two ends together (This is when you'll want to make sure that it fits comfortably around your head)
6.  Lastly, to cover where the two ends meet, I sewed together a denim piece and turned it inside out to give it that dark denim +light denim vibe, but you can use any type of fabric, whether it be a print or even a piece of leather

Black + Gold

It's my favorite time of the year because it's finally FALL y'all! And nothing screams Fall like shopping for your new favorite sidekick.  I always seem to find the endless black hole kind of bag where you are never able to find anything when you need it, but then they seem to always find me when I'm looking for a new bag.  And who can say no to a  BLACK + GOLD combo that can carry you through any season?
