a new adventure begins.

As this adventure ends, a new one most certainly begins.  In these past three years, I moved to Boston only knowing one friend, I then met a boy, fell in love, found what most call your first "real job" and got to travel the world, realized that boy wasn't the one and best of all met some of the most amazing people that I can say will be a part of my world for the rest of my life.  Although I know I will miss some things here, I just know there are better things to come. So hello New York, I'm excited to see what you have to offer me or better yet, what I can offer you.

the famous brown trunk.

The famous designer Louis Vuitton is now facing backlash for the installation of the two-story monogrammed brown trunk in Russia's Red Square due to it being placed beside the mausoleum where Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin's was laid to rest.  The trunk was meant to house a temporary exhibit "The Soul of Travel" organized by Moscow's GUM department store, but has now been forced to be removed after public uproar.

Everything aside,  it's a pretty amazing installation and wish there could be more art like this around the world.

hats on hats on hats

Hats on hats on hats.  One of my favorite little accessories that always adds a punch to the ordinary outfit for the day. Throw one of these on when your tresses are being unruly or you honestly just don't feel like dealing with them for the day.

It's that time of the year...

It's about time someone decided to bring fashion to the slopes.  Yeah, sure there were a few collaborations here and there with some high end denim companies, but nothing as big as this.   Burton  x  L.A.M.B teamed up for some of the best winter gear this season and I can't wait to get my hands on one of those jackets.  See you soon Beaver Creek!

ZARA: November Lookbook

Why is it that I want it ALL!  Zara's November lookbook is stunning, and this sheer top above along with that leather shopper bag are number one on my list.

insta-music

It's only Wednesday and this week I've already hit up two of the best shows I've seen all year.  If you haven't see either of these bands yet, I suggest you go and do so... NOW!
I'm officially memorized and taken away into this far away magical space by Channy Leaneagh's vocals and her amazing, yet simple style on stage.

O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D

My love for denim is probably like someone's love for their new puppy dog (Listen, I love puppies, but denim is definitely right up there with them).  I'm not sure if it beats my obsession with leather but it's pretty damn close. Let's put it this way, if I could denim my walls, I think I would...

I found this vintage piece at shopmaeven.com (check them out!) and of course purchased it immediately. Not only is it a longer piece which is needed for these blizzard like months approaching, but the fact that it has a hood was when it was game over for me.  Pair something like this with your fave pair of denim or leather or better yet, throw it over that little black dress of yours for a more laid back, day time look.

Sriracha me crazy!

Why the hell is this stuff so delicious?! I've recently found out that you can just about put this stuff on any and everything and it's ALL delicious. Okay okay, maybe not milk + cereal but I'm sure someone out there has done that and thinks it's great.

Lately I've been on this hummus kick and thanks to my pal JZ (no, not the rapper), she has gotten me addicted to how amazing Sriracha is on plain hummus.  That being said, I was able to create a Sriracha hummus recipe that's to die for and just too damn easy to make.

Recipe:

1 15 oz. can of rinsed chickpeas
2-3 cloves of garlic
1/3 cup of Tahini
1/4 cup of water
1/2 cup of Sriracha Hot Sauce (less if you don't want it as spicy)
1 teaspoon of lemon juice (optional)
Pinch of salt and fresh ground black pepper

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor until well mixed.

Toast up some of your favorite pita bread along with some chopped veggies and you have yourself a tasty little treat.

It's almost here...Isabel Marant for H&M

It's almost time! November 14th is when Isabel Marant for H&M will hit stores across the U.S and I can't wait!  The line has Marant written all of it and who is not too swoon over this collection.  Another perk, it's now a little more affordable to get your hands on.
